Three young men believed to be responsible for the stabbing of Niccolò Bettarini, the son of Simona Ventura and former footballer Stefano, have reportedly been arrested. A police source confirmed this. They are believed to be Italian men, aged 30 or under, with criminal records. The three were arrested in the Affori neighborhood, in front of the church of Santa Giustina. They have not been charged with attempted murder, but only with assault, as no vital areas were struck. The motive for the attack is still unknown. Meanwhile, former footballer Stefano Bettarini has arrived at Niguarda Hospital in Milan, where his son, Niccolò, is being treated. He has not spoken to reporters. The 19-year-old was stabbed last night outside the Old Fashion nightclub in Milan and underwent surgery shortly thereafter. He is out of danger.
