In Italian women's five-a-side football, there's one team that has won it all this year. This morning, they completed the feat by winning the CSI championship in Montecatini Terme. Previously, they had won the regional Serie C championship, the Campania Cup, and the national Italian Cup (with automatic promotion to Serie A2 for the new season) within the FIGC. Within the CSI, they also won the regional stage. All won by Futsal Nuceria, the team that in its tenth year of operation has crushed all competition. Applause for coach Peppe Dello Ioio, supported by assistant coach Dino De Martino and Anna Alfano, supported by president Maria Faiella, and for all the girls led by Pina Lamberti, Federica Vitale, the other Lamberti, the Dello Ioios, Vuolo, Attanasio, Barba, D'Amelia, Lambiase, Foddai, Palumbo, Finelli, Sassone, and Nacchia. The best award for these girls? Peace of mind for Serie A2, both in terms of the facility and perhaps some assistance in dealing with significantly higher costs. Nocera must help Nuceria; there's little they can do. A lot, actually.
