Giugliano. This morning, the police officers of the PS Giugliano Villaricca police station carried out targeted checks inside two buildings in Giugliano to combat the phenomenon of electricity theft. The police officers together with the officers of the Campania Crime Prevention department, IV Mobile Department of Naples and Enel personnel went first to Corso Campano and then to Via Carlo Pisacane. During the first check, four people were reported for the crime of electricity theft, including one who was placed under house arrest. In Via Carlo Pisacane, the entire building, consisting of four apartments and a blacksmith's workshop, was illegally connected to the electricity grid, therefore the owners were reported at liberty for the crime of electricity theft. Based on the estimate made by Enel personnel present on site, the damage caused to the Enel company would amount to approximately 250 thousand euros. In the context, several house searches were also carried out.
