This morning, in Gragnano, the Carabinieri of the Castellammare di Stabia Company executed a precautionary detention order issued by the Torre Annunziata preliminary investigations judge at the request of this Prosecutor's Office against a suspect held responsible for damage, arson, and stalking. The investigation, directed by the Public Prosecutor's Office and conducted by the Carabinieri of the Operational and Radiomobile Unit of the Stabia Company, has allowed serious evidence to be gathered of the suspect's guilt (already known to law enforcement for mafia-type association, weapons, and drugs) in the arson attacks on two cars owned by another woman, perpetrated between late 2017 and early 2018 in Pimonte. It was ascertained that the arrested woman, driven by motives of passion, had carried out a series of threatening and harassing behaviors towards the victim, forcing her to change her lifestyle and, ultimately, to abandon the city and move to Northern Italy. It was also ascertained that the suspect had acted in collaboration with individuals close to the "D'Alessandro" clan to set the arsons. The purpose that had driven the suspect to do all this was to force the man with whom she had had a relationship. romantic relationship to leave his new partner who, for this reason, had become the victim of his illicit conduct. The arrested woman, after completing the usual formalities, was placed at the disposal of this judicial authority at the Pozzuoli women's prison.
