The Guardia di Finanza of Marina di Casal Velino carried out an inspection in Ascea (SA)
against a commercial establishment that offered electrical material for sale and
various types of objects lacking the minimum indications required by the Consumer Code and
the trade of which is consequently prohibited.
The Finance Police seized 9 thousand items (including batteries, electrical sockets and toys
for children) for a total value of 3 thousand euros.
The owner of the commercial activity was notified to the competent authorities and
he now risks fines of up to 25 thousand euros.
The operation carried out confirms the presence of the Guardia di Finanza on the territory
contrast of a phenomenon highly dangerous for unaware consumers and causing serious damage
for traders who respect market rules.
