Having finished his television commitments that saw him as the musical protagonist on RAI1 during the last edition of Domenica IN, Sal Da Vinci returns with the new single “Il cantante” which will be on the radio and available on all digital and streaming platforms from tomorrow, Friday 6 July, and which gives its name to the artist's new summer show.
The song is the Italian version of the famous song “El cantante” by Héctor Lavoe from 1978, revisited in 2006 in the film of the same name by international stars Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez, and adapted on this occasion by Pasquale Panella with arrangements by Adriano Pennino.
On a Latin and danceable sound, highlighted by percussion and wind instruments, the singer tells his story: his talent is to sing for others, to give voice to their feelings, to touch the emotions of those who listen to him. He sings about everyone and for everyone, he doesn't do it for himself, he doesn't talk about himself. But the song is at the same time his identity, his passion, his deepest being.
The single is a preview of the upcoming album “Sinfonie in Sal Maggiore”, to be released in the fall to coincide with the debut of the next theatre season. The new work will also include the other songs from the show, arranged by Adriano Pennino who is also the conductor in the theatre.
“The singer” also gives the name to Sal Da Vinci's live tour, which after its debut in June, will continue throughout the summer; these are the first dates on the calendar: July 14 Torre Del Greco (NA) - Sport Club Oplonti, July 26 Santi Cosma E Damiano (LT), July 27 Rome - Porta Di Roma Shopping Center), August 3 Trentola Ducenta (CE) - Jambo Shopping Center, August 16 Paestum (SA), August 17 Bisaccia (AV).
