He forced alms on customers and employees of supermarkets: migrant arrested

Police in Salerno arrested a 29-year-old Nigerian immigrant, FA, with a criminal record, who was extorting money from customers and employees at supermarkets on Via Wenner, in the city's industrial area. After yet another attempt to extort money from supermarket cashiers, the latter called for the intervention of officers from the Salerno Police Headquarters. Upon arrival, the officers were attacked by the man. With some difficulty, the officers managed to subdue him. During a personal search, the immigrant was found in possession of a knife in his waistband. Aggressive beggars, even those who attack businesses, are a common phenomenon in the city.
