A complete musician and great author, he is famous for the many Grammy Awards and Latin Grammys he has won during his career. Self-taught, he began playing the piano at 18 and was greatly influenced by the music he listened to during his childhood in the United States, as well as jazz and bossa nova. Lins proposes in his songs a varied harmonic construction, quite unusual in Brazilian music, a characteristic that makes him highly appreciated among musicians around the world. His work has always been renewed over the years, bringing new musical values, without ever losing its DNA and originality. Since the second half of the 80s, his work has taken on a greater international impact, especially in the USA, where he has collaborated with artists such as Sarah Vaughan, Quincy Jones, Ella Fitzgerald, George Benson, Sting, Diana Krall, Barbara Streisand.
