Basilicata Regional President Marcello Pittella (Democratic Party) has been under house arrest since this morning. The measure was notified to him by the Guardia di Finanza, which has implemented 29 other restrictive measures as part of an investigation into the Basilicata healthcare system.
Pittella is under house arrest in his home in Lauria (Potenza). Confirmation of the arrest came to ANSA from people close to the governor who described his position in the affair as “surreal”.
