They said, the former boys of Rovigliano - once they returned home after years of work spent away from their land - to Mons. Raffaele Russo, regent parish priest of the Basilica Maria SS della Neve. So the patronal feast of August 5, for the commemoration of the discovery of the Sacred Effigy, this year will have as its setting, in addition to the port and the Basilica, also the rock of Rovigliano, where on August 5, 1354 the fishermen of Torre del Greco found the painting, and the nearby "Children's Village".
The result was, thanks also to the participation of the Municipality of Torre Annunziata, four days (3-4-5-6) of events dedicated to faith, history, traditions, culture, music and children, who will not forget, however, to underline the need to definitively put an end to the sad story of the Foce del Sarno, to the depollution of the sea and to the relaunch of the territory and the legendary Petra Herculis. Moreover, immersed in a wonderful panorama that has few equals in the world. The calendar of the planned initiatives and the in-depth analysis of the objectives of the four days of events will be officially communicated by the organizers during a special press conference - Monday 16 July at 10,30:XNUMX at the "Children's Village” – Via Postiglione, 57 – Rovigliano
