After the expert jury's votes, the 2018 Tenco Award – "Disco In Assoluto" – goes to Motta for "Vivere o morire," the second solo studio album by the Pisan singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Released last April for online streaming, the album was preceded by the singles "Ed è quasi come essere felici" and "La nostra ultima canzone."
“You have no idea how happy I am about this recognition,” Francesco Motta wrote on Instagram. “I put my heart and soul into this album and the work that all the people around me did was wonderful.”

The Plaques will be awarded as part of the Premio Tenco 2018, which will take place at the Ariston Theatre in Sanremo from 18 to 20 October, organised by the Club Tenco and with the contribution of the Municipality of Sanremo, SIAE, NUOVOIMAIE, Casinò di Sanremo, Regione Liguria, Camera di Commercio delle Riviere di Liguria and Coop Liguria, as scheduled.
