Naples. During an operation to combat international terrorism, the agents of the Neapolitan DIGOS State Police, in collaboration with the AISI center in Naples, proceeded to track down the thirty-one-year-old Tunisian citizen BEN SALAH Rafii, recipient of a Removal Order issued for security reasons by Mr. Minister of the Interior. The measure was adopted because the individual, who on several occasions showed dangerous signs of radicalism, maintained contacts through social networks with elements close to Islamic extremism, some of whom were ISIS militants. In this regard, it emerged that one of his Facebook contacts, a certain “ABU YAYA” turned out to be his own brother who died fighting in Syria in 2014, in the ranks of the Islamic State. Regarding Ben Salah, a criminal because he was caught several times selling clothing with counterfeit brands, following in-depth investigative activities conducted by this DIGOS also through monitoring his Facebook profile, elements were deemed to exist that would suggest his presence on the national territory was a threat to the security of the State, not excluding the possibility that he could facilitate, in various ways, terrorist organizations or activities, including international ones. The measure, notified to him at the local Immigration Office, was validated by the Judge of the Civil Court of Naples. In the afternoon of yesterday, July 11, adopting specific security measures, the Tunisian was accompanied to the Naples-Capodichino airport where, by the Immigration office, he was repatriated on a direct flight to Tunis.
