Sara Tramma, a charismatic Neapolitan singer-songwriter, debuts with her solo album entitled “NapoliEvolution” produced and published by Nando Misuraca’s Suono Libero Music and distributed on the national circuit by Halidon (who will also take care of the digital version for the international market). The lead single, “Popolo Anarchico”, is a song dedicated to migrants: “The population of Naples is no longer the same as it was twenty years ago,” says Sara Tramma, “walking through the streets you discover a mix of colors, traditions and flavors. Neapolitan street urchins mix with other ethnic groups and this situation is a reality, not a limited phenomenon. – Then, with eyes clouded with sadness, she continues, “Thinking about the boats of migrants arriving on our shores in search of a better life was a source of inspiration for this song that I wanted to tell also through the musical contaminations of these peoples. We used typical African rhythms and choirs in search of sounds that were Mediterranean and representative of the south of the world. – The singer-songwriter then concludes – All of us, at least once in our lives, have wanted to be somewhere else, to travel and fly with our imagination towards unknown destinations. They are also forced to flee from hunger and war. We all have a migrant heart by nature”.
The song, with its mixed sound, sees the artistic direction of Nando Misuraca and the participation of two extraordinary musicians, Corrado Calignano on bass and Vincenzo Palumbo on guitars.
The single “Popolo Anarchico” follows two other songs that have received excellent public and critical acclaim and which preceded the album, “Sacra e Profana” and “Canzone d'ammore”, the latter a tribute to the folk music of which Sara Tramma was an exponent, in Musicanova alongside Eugenio Bennato and Carlo D'Angiò (to whom the song is dedicated), until she decided to embark on a solo career.
“NapoliEvolution” is a collection of ten songs between past and present, which starts from Naples to tell the “Souths” of the whole world, mixing the sacred and profane inherent in the deepest soul of the Neapolitan singer-songwriter Sara Tramma: “I was born as a folk singer, my musical path led me to mix my style with that of many other very good artists with whom I have collaborated. This album and its songs is the child of this path of evolution that from an interpreter led me to be the author of myself”.
Tramma can boast numerous excellent collaborations in her career. Among these, in addition to the already mentioned Eugenio Bennato and D'Angiò, there are Massimo Ranieri and Maestro Roberto De Simone.
Many professional musicians took part in the project, including Edo Puccini, Peppe Fiscale, Roberto Giangrande, Vincenzo Palumbo, Corrado Calignano, Francesco Corato.
The album, born from the collaboration with Nando Misuraca, producer and founder of the independent label Suono Libero Music, is available in all Italian stores with Halidon distribution and in over 240 digital stores.
