Over the weekend, the Naples Railway Police Department carried out simultaneous checks in all the stations in Campania and along the entire railway network. The national operation “ORO ROSSO” was also carried out, ordered by the Central Railway Police Service throughout Italy and aimed at preventing and combating copper thefts along the railway line. Numerous ferrous material depots were therefore checked to verify that they were not involved in the storage of stolen copper. At the same time as the checks in the stations carried out with the device for narrowing the gates aimed at controlling all access, numerous escorts were carried out on short, medium and long-distance trains. During one of these, AA, born in 1971, with a criminal record, was reported. On board the regional train 21269 Naples-Salerno, which he had boarded without a ticket to practice the profession of illegal street vendor, when the train conductor invited him to get off, he threatened him with such vehemence that he barricaded himself in the driver's cabin until the police arrived. The criminal, taken from the train and taken to the Polfer offices, was reported for "Threats and resistance to a PU". In addition, 8 other people were reported to the competent AG for various crimes such as: aggravated theft, receiving stolen goods, aggravated damage, violation of the ban on returning to the Municipality of Naples and violation of the rules on entry and residence in the national territory.
