The pride of being a Castellammare di Stabia, inspired by the example of illustrious citizens who have elevated the name of Castellammare. Or rather, the pleasure of belonging to a community rich in history, art, and culture that aspires to return to greatness and emerge from the crisis that grips it.
The event “Rosso di Stabia” will take place on Sunday 8 July at 21 pm in the Giardino di Arianna, a stone's throw from the Villa of the same name. The event, conceived by Stefano Fontanella in collaboration with Pierluigi Fiorenza, intends not only to strengthen the bond of affection between the people of Stabia and their city but also to enhance the typical products of our land through wine tastings and dishes of Campania cuisine and prepared for the occasion by chef Rino de Feo. During the third edition of Rosso di Stabia, the singer Fiorenza Calogero, the chef Rino De Feo, the rowing champion Ciccio Esposito, the actor, director and author Gianfelice Imparato, the historical researcher Giuseppe Plaitano, the co-director of the Corriere della Sera Antonio Polito, the major of the Carabinieri Donato Pontassuglia, the Chief Prosecutor of the Republic of Naples, Court of Appeal section Luigi Riello, the aerospace engineer Antonio Salza, the actor and writer Gerardo Scala, the director responsible for the infrastructures of CERN in Geneva Luigi Scibile and the singers Viviana Cangiano and Serena Pisa will be awarded.
The Radici Award consists of a limited edition art print created by the master Umberto Cesino. The work depicts a mysterious fountain on which the artist has grouped typical elements of the landscape and cultural heritage of Castellammare such as the Perseus and the two citharists of Villa San Marco and a shell with seahorses representing the water resource. In the two previous editions of Rosso di Stabia, the “Radici Award – Excellence” was awarded to former footballers Salvatore Di Somma, Gennaro Olivieri and Gennaro Iezzo; the Circolo Nautico Stabia; Anna Pane, Italian champion of the 400 meters hurdles; Catello Russo, European Sailing champion; Giulio De Stefano, bronze medalist in Sailing at the Rome Olympics and also the constitutional judge Raffaele Sabato, the commander of the Port Authority of Castellammare Guglielmo Cassone, the website Libero Ricercatore and others.
“The future of Castellammare is more than ever in the hands of the people of Stabia and its illustrious sons, awarded with the Rosso di Stabia, demonstrate that each of us can and must contribute to the rebirth of the city”, declare Stefano Fontanella and Pierluigi Fiorenza.
