Sant'Antimo. Robberies by couples, four are released with sentence reduction. The appeal hearing was held this morning at the court of Naples presided over by President Maddalena who decreed, after the speech of criminal lawyer Mario Angelino, the release of all four subjects arrested in 2017 and detained under house arrest, with the sentence reduction that goes from 4 years and 6 months inflicted in the first instance by the judge of the Court of Naples North Barbara Del Pizzo, to 2 years and 6 months. The four were arrested during a patrol by the Carabinieri of the radiomobile section of the Territorial Department of Aversa, in the act of committing a crime (the four twenty-year-olds at the time with no criminal record, believed to be the perpetrators of robberies against couples. Those arrested were Arturo Sannino, class 4; Modestino Iavarone, class 97; Pasquale Marzocchella, class 98 and Francesco Petito, class 98, all residents of Sant'Antimo. The four, all disguised as balaclavas, one of whom was armed with a pistol that later turned out to be a replica, in via Cappuccini in Aversa (a road located behind the hippodrome that connects viale Olimpico with the Sorbe Rosse and Santa Caterina da Siena area in Giugliano), after having stopped two couples of young people from the area who were waiting in their cars, at the threat of the gun, made them hand over bags containing personal effects, cell phones and sums of money in cash. After committing the crime, they drove away in a Fiat Punto Evo with a license plate partially covered with tape. The radiomobile crew, in transit at that moment, noticing the car with the altered license plate ordered them to stop. A short chase ensued, at the end of which the fleeing vehicle was stopped and all four occupants were arrested. The immediate search of the person and vehicle allowed the carabinieri to find and seize the weapon used in the robberies and to recover the stolen goods. Today, at the appeal hearing, after the defense work of the lawyer Angelino and the criminal lawyer Roberto Saccomanno (who defended with Angelino Marzocchella), it bore fruit.
