Down with the carabinieri: it's not a joke

Starting today, a squadron of mounted Carabinieri will also be deployed on the Gargano Peninsula to monitor the area. This squadron of mounted Carabinieri will join the forces already deployed across the Gargano promontory to monitor the area, particularly its most rugged and difficult-to-reach areas. The soldiers of the Rome Mounted Regiment are an integral part of the external reinforcements identified during the CPOSP (Consolidated Planning Committee) and requested by the Prefecture of Foggia at the direction of the Provincial Command. The General Command has welcomed this request, making this additional unit of the Carabinieri available to the community of Capitanata. Throughout the summer, they will be tasked with patrolling the routes normally used not only by shepherds but also by pilgrims and more adventurous tourists, thus significantly increasing safety.
