Torre Annunziata. One Sunday evening in May, the 27th, outside a disco in Torre Annunziata a couple who were spending the evening there were attacked by 2 men.
a 49-year-old woman of Russian origin and a 27-year-old man of Bulgarian origin had been approached by two other Bulgarians, one 2-year-old and already known to the police, the other who remained unidentified: the 35-year-old had approached the 35-year-old to obtain the payment of an alleged debt of 27 euros, then, while he was threatening him, the woman had intervened and had gotten the worst of it, suffering a "multi-fragmentary fracture of the left orbital floor, a fracture of the left maxillary sinus and a fracture of a nasal wing".
After the attack, the 35-year-old and his accomplice fled without a trace, while the couple called the Carabinieri of the Torre Annunziata company; the woman then sought treatment in hospital where she was discharged with a prognosis of 30 days. The investigations and searches for the criminals began immediately and within a short time the military identified the 35-year-old. However, he had become untraceable and to track him down it was necessary to search the surrounding areas, up to Poggiomarino where he had probably found a first hiding place.
He was finally tracked down in San Gennaro Vesuviano where he had rented a room. There the carabinieri arrested him, notifying him of a custodial order in prison issued by the investigating judge of the Torre Annunziata court for attempted extortion and aggravated assault. After the formalities he was taken to prison.
