The police, alerted by the Operations Room, which reported a young man on a light blue motorcycle, wearing an orange helmet, intent on dealing drugs in Via Margherita di Savoia. Passing through Via Margherita di Savoia, near the Civil Court – Oplonti parking lot – they noticed the young man, riding a Honda Sh300 motorcycle, exchanging a package with another boy, also riding a scooter, in exchange for a banknote that he was placing inside the pouch. The police managed to stop the drug dealer while the buyer managed to disappear, taking the Via del Principio sea side, where the road is closed by metal posts used for pedestrians only. Following the check, the officers found inside the pouch 7 packages containing a white substance that upon examination turned out to be cocaine weighing 6,67 grams and the sum of 660 euros divided into various denominations. The scooter was seized while Izzo was arrested and placed under house arrest pending the summary hearing scheduled for this morning.
