Víctor Díaz Contreras, mayor of Tecalitlán, the city in Mexico where three Neapolitans Raffaele Russo, his son Antonio and Vincenzo Cimmino disappeared on January 31, has been murdered. Contreras, who had been grazed by the investigations even though he had always said he was not involved in the affair, was murdered yesterday, July 2. It was 11.30:2 in the morning when the mayor, together with his collaborators, was traveling in a red Toyota truck, to go to the countryside where a project for the construction of some farms had been started. Along the way, however, a black van and another vehicle, in which men with long guns were traveling, riddled the car in which the mayor was traveling with bullets. Víctor Díaz Contreras died instantly. Some of the mayor's collaborators were injured and transferred to the hospital in Ciudad Guzman, while others were unharmed. The armed men fled immediately. Just on the morning of July XNUMX, Víctor Díaz Contreras had denounced on his Facebook profile that his family had suffered an assault, claiming that two individuals had broken the window of his brother's truck.
