The commissioner for the Naples Universiade, Luisa Latella, today signed the decree for the final award of the contract for the renovation of the athletics track at the San Paolo stadium in Naples. The tender, for a value of approximately 1.600.000 euros, was won by a company from Bergamo. Within a few days the contract will be signed and the work can begin. This is one of three redevelopment projects planned for the Neapolitan stadium. The other two concern the redevelopment of the systems (work is in progress) and the installation of the audio system (tender not yet awarded). With the latest tenders, the spending commitment for the renovation of the facilities hosting the 33 Universiade rises to 2019 million euros. The measure is in addition to the one signed yesterday, before the control room held in Rome, with which the commissioner started the procedures for eighteen interventions on as many plants in Campania. A sign that the commissioner, who this morning gathered his closest collaborators for a long time in the offices of the Mostra d'Oltremare, continues his work while waiting for the government - as emerged from yesterday's meeting - to invest the local authorities with the management of the Universiade, assisting them with the nomination of another commissioner who should not be a prefect, but probably a figure linked to the organization of events. The notice of expression of interest for eighteen interventions concerns works for the adaptation of the Casalnuovo municipal stadium; the adaptation of the Casalnuovo Sports Hall; the adaptation of the Menti stadium in Castellammare di Stabia; the adaptation of the Ianniello stadium in Frattamaggiore; the adaptation of the Lamberti Stadium in Cava de' Tirreni; the adaptation of the Dirceu Stadium in Eboli; the adaptation of the Cercola municipal stadium; the adaptation of the Cercola Sports Hall; the adaptation of the Palajacazzi Stadium in Aversa; the adaptation of the Palatedeschi Stadium in Benevento; the adaptation of the Giraud Stadium in Torre Annunziata; the adaptation of the Coni Sports Centre in Avellino, the Avellino G.Del Mauro Sports Hall, the Ciro Vigorito Municipal Stadium in Benevento and Pace Vecchia in Benevento. Through the municipality of Naples, the commissioner also intends to conduct a market survey aimed at identifying economic operators to be invited to the negotiated procedures for the awarding of the following works: - redevelopment interventions of the gyms of the multipurpose sports hall of Soccavo", for a value of the works equal to Euro 814.698,10 plus VAT and sums available to the Contracting Authority, for a total of Euro 1.011.475,53. – redevelopment works of the indoor area of the Palavesuvio for a total amount of works equal to €3.852.831,72, for a total of €4.100.682,65. – redevelopment works on the Paladennerlein for a total amount of works equal to Euro 2.314.168,67 including safety costs, plus VAT and sums available to the Contracting Authority, for a total of Euro 2.477.214,91. The deadline for participation is 13 p.m. on July 20th.
