IThe Municipality has delivered to the civil protection groups technical equipment purchased with the funds made available by the Metropolitan City of Naples. In particular, to enhance those already in use, the following were purchased: 2 mobile trolleys with telescopic LED light towers, 6kW generators and a chainsaw as an accessory that will bring light in case of need even in the most inaccessible places. Furthermore, 3 latest-generation Garmin satellite detection systems with connection to the cellular network for geolocation were purchased that will allow operators to correctly identify the position in which to intervene. The equipment was entrusted by Mayor Salvatore Di Sarno to the local civil protection associations "Cobra2" and "Gruppo volontari di Pronto Intervento". The Municipality had participated in the tender announced by the Metropolitan City in recent months, obtaining funding of 13 thousand euros. “For us, safeguarding the safety of citizens comes first,” commented Mayor Salvatore Di Sarno, “and in fact, in terms of civil protection, in recent months we have approved the new regulation in the city council and we are proceeding with the updating of the municipal emergency plan, approved in 2015. However, this planning would be useless without the constant commitment of our volunteers, and for this I always thank the operators of pprotection civil “Cobra 2”, “Volunteer Emergency Response Corps”, Aisa and the Italian Red Cross for their work in the service of the community”.
