The INGV has confirmed that there was an earthquake and also of strong intensity but that the epicentre was in Molise in the province of Campobasso.
The shock was also felt along the entire Adriatic coast up to Pescara and also in some areas in the provinces of Avellino and Caserta and the Province of Naples. The earthquake had a magnitude of 4.7 and was reported at 23.48:6 p.m. 19 km from Montecilfone in the province of Campobasso, at a depth that the Ingv Twitter account places at XNUMX km. At the moment there are no reports of damage to people or property in the area of Molise hit by the earthquake last night.
This was made by the Civil Protection, underlining that the checks are still ongoing. The firefighters also confirmed that at the moment there is no damage: the switchboards received many calls for information, but no requests for intervention.
The earthquake occurred around midnight and had a depth of about 19 kilometers. The earthquake was also felt in other regions bordering Molise, such as Abruzzo, Campania and Puglia.
At the moment it is not known if people, homes and infrastructure have suffered damage. The epicenter of the shock felt in Molise is the same as last April 25. It is the area of Acquaviva Collecroce, 35 kilometers northwest of Campobasso.
