Strong winds and rough seas continue to affect ferry services in the Gulf of Naples. As was the case yesterday, several trips between the ports of Naples, Pozzuoli, and Sorrento, and those to the islands of Capri, Ischia, and Procida, have been suspended this morning. The shipping company Alilauro announces that, due to adverse weather conditions, all services to and from Sorrento are suspended, while the 6:30 a.m. Ischia-Naples Molo Beverello service, the 7:35 a.m. Beverello-Ischia Forio service, the 8:00 a.m. Ischia-Naples Beverello-Naples Mergellina service, and the 9:15 a.m. Forio-Beverello service have been cancelled. Caremar also announces that the 9:05 a.m. Capri-Sorrento service, the 9:10 a.m. Pozzuoli-Procida service, the 9:25 a.m. Sorrento-Capri service, the 10:00 a.m. Procida-Naples Beverello service, and the 11:20 a.m. Capri-Naples Porta di Massa service have been cancelled. Snav announces that the 9:15 a.m. ferry from Capri to Sorrento has been suspended. The weather warning for wind and sea conditions issued by the Campania Civil Protection Department two days ago expires tonight at 8:00 p.m.
