Marano di Napoli. The finance police of the Naples provincial command have seized, in the municipality of Marano di Napoli, an “indoor” marijuana plantation set up inside a home. In particular, following an independent info-investigative activity against an individual who on several occasions had been noticed with subjects notoriously addicted to the use of narcotic substances, the finance police of the Pozzuoli group carried out a search inside the property in use. The inspection of the premises allowed them to discover that an underground room of the apartment, of about 40 square meters, had been set up as a homemade greenhouse where there were 198 medium-sized Indian hemp plants, as well as a complex lighting and ventilation system used to encourage growth. At the end of the operation, the yellow flames seized the plants, the premises, 350 grams of narcotic substance already dried and ready to be sold, all the electrical devices to artificially create the ideal habitat: 23 transformers, 19 lamps, 2 dehumidifiers, 5 fans and 2 carbon filters. The person responsible, an Italian citizen, aged 37, was arrested for cultivation of narcotic substances and associated with the Naples-Poggioreale prison. The service activity testifies to the constant presence exercised by the Naples financial police on the territory to safeguard the laws and to contrast a phenomenon characterized by strong social danger.
