NToday, personnel from the DIGOS of the Naples Police Headquarters carried out the order implementing the precautionary measure of prison custody against Cacciapuoti Carmine, Infante Diego and Della Cerra Carmine, as well as the order implementing the precautionary measure of house arrest against Palladino Michele and Rega Antonio, all members of the Neapolitan ultras group called “Secco Vive”, with the exception of Della Cerra, leader of the ultras group called “Masseria”.
The precautionary order in question was issued by the GIP of the Court of Naples, Dr. L. Comella, who accepted the request of the Deputy Prosecutors Dr. Stefano Capuano and Dr. Danilo De Simone – coordinated by the Deputy Prosecutor Dr. Giuseppe Lucantonio – advanced against the Neapolitan ultras, considered responsible for the crimes of robbery, aggravated assault, threats and damage, in competition, to the detriment of some Roma fans present in the capital of Campania. The defendants, on 5 April 2018, after a period of study and planning, planned and then carried out a punitive expedition against Roma fans who, on two different flights, had landed in Naples from Barcelona, where they had attended the Champions League match Barcelona vs Roma.
The investigation allowed us to reconstruct the dynamics of the event and, in particular, how the Neapolitan ultras, having learned of the flights used by the Roma fans, after waiting at the airport for their arrival, had identified the victims by studying their movements and following them to the parking area. After the Roma fans, on board a rented van, had left the airport, the Neapolitan ultras had followed them with their own vehicles, and in Corso Secondigliano they had blocked their progress, then proceeding to violently attack the occupants. On that occasion, the backpacks were also stolen from the victims, in order to take the flags and scarves, symbols of belonging to the Roma team.
These arrests are part of a complex and detailed investigative activity, carried out by the DIGOS of the Naples Police Headquarters with the coordination of the pool of magistrates established at the local Public Prosecutor's Office, which allows for the constant monitoring of the activities of the most violent fringes of the Neapolitan fans.
