The Prosecutor's Office has issued two investigations into a case of bullying involving a 13-year-old as the victim and a 14-year-old and a 13-year-old as the alleged perpetrators. Both, as reported in today's edition of Il Mattino, are classmates and will appear before a magistrate for preliminary hearings. The investigation began with a complaint filed last year by the parents, which described bullying incidents against the 13-year-old, who was frequently insulted, attacked, and slandered for his alleged sexual preferences. The 13-year-old was constantly ridiculed because his classmates continually beat him and threatened him whenever they wanted, the magistrate writes. The parents realized something was wrong, listened to their son, and decided to go to the Prosecutor's Office. The boy recounted all the details of the attacks and insults, which had become so frequent that the 13-year-old no longer wanted to attend school.
