GThursday 8 November the Arci Movie Cineforum will start again (shows at 18.00 pm and 21.00 pm – Pierrot cinema, via de Meis, 58 – free admission) with the screening of the film “Una storia senza nome” by Roberto Andò; the art historian Vincenzo de Luca will be present.
"The Arci Movie Cineforum is starting again without stopping - says Roberto D'Avascio, president of Arci Movie - for its twenty-ninth edition, with a long tradition behind it, but with eyes open to the present. This year our festival will try, even more strongly, to tell with many beautiful and exciting films our country, our history, the condition we live every day, trying to shed light on certain important problems or to underline certain contradictions. "A story without a name", a paradigmatic film of a condition of suffering in our country, will inaugurate our Cineforum of civil commitment, which will meet the participation of many members in the historic Pierrot hall in Ponticelli. Let's imagine a militant Cineforum, which knows how to do politics with the beauty of images on a screen, which takes a stand in a society ready to skid".
To further strengthen the Cineforum at Pierrot as a moment of strong social aggregation, Arci Movie is also organizing this year's edition in collaboration with seven other associations in the neighborhood: Le Kassandre, Il Quartiere Ponticelli, La Casa del Popolo, Libera, AUSER Ponticelli, Renato Caccioppoli, Terra di Confine; subscriptions to the Cineforum have been made available to women in difficulty, through the Association "Le Kassandre".
The Arci Movie Cineforum has reached its twenty-ninth edition this year with spectators numbers that are around 1500 members, and confirms itself as an unmissable cultural event for Naples, given its decentralized location and its social inspiration, but also the cultural impact on the neighborhood with 25 films and 100 screenings for 2018/19. The directors and actors who come to Ponticelli have always found in the suburban audience the enthusiasm of "real" and attentive people, simple but demanding and still eager to improve, as well as themselves, the world around them.
“Una storia senza nome” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KU8Q-Geubio) by Roberto Andò with Micaela Ramazzotti, Renato Carpentieri, Laura Morante, Jerzy Skolimowski, Antonio Catania. Valeria Tramonti (Ramazzotti) is the shy secretary of the film producer Vitelli (Catania), she still lives a few steps away from her mother (Morante) and is in love with the screenwriter Pes (Gassmann), for whom she writes, uncredited, the subjects for which he then takes credit. Her reserved existence is overturned by the meeting with Rak, an unknown elderly man (Carpentieri), a mysterious and very knowledgeable character, who offers her an irresistible story to turn into a film, provided that (this time too) she does not appear as the author. The story linked to the theft of the Nativity, a canvas by Caravaggio stolen by the mafia in 1969 from the Oratory of San Lorenzo in Palermo and never found. And that today's mafia has no interest in disclosing. Too bad that among the film's financiers is Spatafora (Bruno), affiliated with Cosa Nostra.
