NIn the Secondigliano prison, a theatrical performance “IO NON CI CASCO” was staged, written and performed by 20 inmates of the high security circuit, some serving life sentences, all accused of Camorra association. The theatrical work, with the collaboration of the PERSUD Association, denounced the criminal path and as the inmates declared from the stage: “It aims to send a message of legality that reaches especially the youngest to invite them to relate to the society in which they live with a civic sense and the value of legality, abandoning any project of violence and illegality. Io non ci caduta più is the conviction from which we want to start again“.
The performance was promoted by Samuele Ciambriello, Campania guarantor of people deprived of personal freedom, and by Giulia Russo, director of the Secondigliano prison. Among others present at the meeting were the deputy prosecutor Nunzio Fragliasso, the surveillance magistrate Maria Picardi, the commander Antimo Cicala, the vice director of Secondigliano Claudia Nannola, the senator Valeria Valente, the deputy Gilda Sportiello, the regional councilor Gianluca Daniele and Roberta Gaeta, councilor in Naples for social policies.
The Guarantor Samuele Ciambriello is excited, having known many of these prisoners for a long time, with whom he and the volunteers of his association La Mansarda have begun a journey of reconstruction of themselves, of their past and of new horizons for the future. “For many, prison serves to have more social security, to re-educate the prisoner, to reduce recidivism. I believe that initiatives of this kind, these paths of dissociation, not the pretense of yes, which prison often requires, in short the treatment, the recognition of the differently free, and beyond the crime, as a person, as an identity, to be listened to and freed, are the application of the articles of the Constitution on prison and rights.”
Ciambriello then makes a public announcement: "These people, not repentant of the law, but of Grace and Conscience, who have the courage to get up, admit mistakes, have invited me, encouraged me, to make known their names and surnames. Here are some of those who are taking this path and have performed today. Here are the protagonists of the initiative: Bruno Taglialatela, Vincenzo Martinelli, Sergio Palumbo, Luca Sannino, Gaetano Milano, Marco Hudelka, Bartolomeo Festa, Giovanni Gallo, Nicola Loffredo, Luigi De Cristofaro, Cosimo Commisso, Erminio Crisci and Salvatore Calabria.
