LThe Padua mobile squad is carrying out several arrests as part of an investigation in which 77 people are being investigated and which has brought to light false practices for migrants, with the sole purpose of obtaining a residence permit and welfare benefits from INPS. The suspects are accused, to varying degrees, of criminal association dedicated to the commission of ideological and documentary forgery, related to crimes against public faith, the administration of justice and in matters of immigration. According to the investigations, the arrested, in exchange for large sums of money, created false practices suitable for simulating a permanent employment relationship, which in reality did not exist. In turn, the migrants used the false employment position to obtain residence permits and undue INPS benefits. The investigations, carried out in Veneto, Lombardy, Sicily and Piedmont, have allowed to ascertain an economic damage to INPS of approximately 80 thousand euros.
