Salerno.Father and son were beaten in Fuorni prison on Christmas Eve last year.
Now they are all going to trial. There are ten of them.
The victims are the boss of Cava de Tirreni, Dante Zullo and his son Vincenzo. Among the attackers, all prisoners from Salerno and Naples, there is also the boss Vincenzo Mazzarella, and with him also Sergio Rainone, Raffaele Guida, Roberto Dell'Annunziata, Antonio De Vita, Vincenzo Santillo, Domenico Russo, Francesco Sessa.
They all have to answer for very serious personal injuries. While the two Zullos, father and son, are accused of false testimony because despite having had the worst of it in the clashes they tried to divert the investigations.
The father claimed he had only been slapped while the son claimed he had fallen in the cell, but he had a swollen face, two fractured ribs and injuries all over his body and had to stay in hospital for over two weeks.
The fight took place on the night between December 24th and 25th: Vincenzo Zullo, drunk in his cell, began to have a tantrum. His cellmates tried to calm him down but to no avail and the fight began.
He managed to ask for help from his father who was detained on the lower floor. But they were both beaten.
