According to what emerges from the investigations on the "gang of honest people" led by the expert Barra's forger, Enrico De Martino. who worked between Capua, the province of Naples and France, there could be more to add to the list of counterfeit money seized by the Carabinieri. The hypothesis is that fake “Scratch & Win” could also be made and entrusted to tobacconists who were friends and then put them on the market without any chance of winning for the bettors.
The investigations carried out have allowed us to reconstruct in detail a capillary structured “associative network”, well rooted in the Campania region and with countless co-interests in various regions of Italy and France. From a methodological point of view, the investigations have brought to light the various segments of the criminal activity, which evidently starts from the production counterfeit banknotes (all of excellent workmanship) and, through intermediation carried out at various levels, reaches the point of retail sale of the same.
