LThe Holy Door of the Basilica of the Blessed Virgin of the Rosary in Pompeii, closed for years, suddenly swung open by itself and many people shouted it was a miracle. The heavy door had been closed for some time and, despite their efforts, no one had managed to reopen it or undo the lock. This afternoon, however, in conjunction with the exceptional gusts of wind that lashed the province of Naples, one of the two doors opened. The faithful of Pompeii had already shouted it was a miracle after the 'oscillations' of the crown of stone in the hands of the statue at the top of the Basilica. The Fire Department had to intervene several times to secure it to its hook.
