Dfrom one bell to another. The sash, crown and scepter of Mister Italia 2018 change hands, but remain in Campania. The disqualified Nicola Savarese (guilty of serious violations and breaches of contract) is succeeded by the 24-year-old from Scafati Gerardo Stanco, who already won the sash of “Model of Italy 8” last September 2018 in Trani. The nomination of Gerardo Stanco was announced by Jo Squillo, via a video on the social channels of the competition organized by “Claudio Marastoni Communication”. The scepter and crown therefore remain in Campania, but take the road to Scafati which, from this weekend, can therefore boast of counting among its citizens the most handsome man on the Peninsula.
“I couldn’t help but celebrate this news with a pizza party in company,” jokes the new beauty king. “I’m really happy. I already was after winning the title of Model of Italy on September 8 in Trani. Imagine now that I’ve added that of Mister Italy with a scepter and crown.” A graduate in Motor Sciences at the University of Naples, Gerardo Stanco is attending a master’s degree in Sport & Management. “My secret dream, also because of this title, is to work one day in the world of entertainment or television. Maybe, following in the footsteps of Andrea Damante, whom I respect and consider an excellent professional. However, I have no intention of giving up my studies. As long as I can, I will continue with both careers.” Stanco also boasts a decent career as a footballer. “I played for 14 years, reaching the Eccellenza – reveals Mister Italy – Unfortunately, due to a serious ligament injury, I had to hang up my boots. I’m a Milan fan, although I confess that I admire Cristiano Ronaldo.” The Mister Italia contest organized by Claudio Marastoni Communication has established itself over the years, also by virtue of a prestigious roll of honor, as the most authoritative "launching pad" in the world of entertainment for the most handsome Italian men.
