IDDA investigation into a drug dealing area. A busy night in the Municipality of Mondragone that saw the men of the Carabinieri Company Command led by Captain Luca Gino Iannotti, in executing a precautionary custody order issued by the DDA following an investigation into events that occurred from September 2015 to May 2016, against 15 individuals.
The suspects are accused, to varying degrees, of association for the purpose of illicit trafficking of narcotic and psychotropic substances. The criminal association promoted, organized and led by Salvatore De Crescenzo, a 40-year-old criminal, Vincenzo De Crescenzo, a 62-year-old criminal, and Francesco Tiberio La Torre, 31, son of the well-known clan leader Augusto La Torre. The narcotic substances sold in the Municipality of Mondragone ranged from hashish, cocaine and marijuana, and came from the Naples or Caserta area.
During the activity, arrests were made in flagrante and reports were made at liberty following individual episodes of dealing managed through the telephone request system, as well as various recoveries of narcotics. Likewise, further conduct by some of the suspects was revealed regarding the recycling of a car of illicit origin.
