"The 5 Star Movement has been fighting for years to put an end to large-scale plant construction, to replace it with the creation of local composting plants in cities, thus reducing waste travel to a minimum. A direction that is exactly the opposite of that taken by the Campania Region and the waste plan launched by Governor De Luca. In the recent text of the Simplification Law, recently challenged by our Government, the governor even envisaged the opening of storage sites scattered throughout the region, with the aim of stemming the return to a new announced emergency. A crisis born of a regional management incapable of investing in the optimal waste cycle, with funds diverted from the ordinary management of urban waste and remediation, to finance the eco-bales operation that has remained at a standstill and has turned out to be nothing more than an election spot for De Luca and Renzi in favor of lenses and cameras. The statements of Minister Costa, who has effectively rejected the 2016 regional plan, today give new life to our battles in the Regional Council". This is what was declared by the regional councilor of the 5 Star Movement and member of the Environment Commission Maria Muscarà.
"Minister Costa has relaunched our old idea of a recycling district in Taverna del Re - Muscarà underlined -, the only currently viable solution to resolve, in a definitive and structural way, the drama of eco-bales. Let's start thinking again, then, about the creation of mobile structures that do not create new plants in the territories that already suffer from the presence of eco-bales but that, after the operations of opening, selection and recovery of reusable material, are transferred from time to time to all the other regional sites. The great eco-bales advert of the duo de Luca-Renzi has failed and we must take note of it. Just as the waste plan has failed. The system today must be changed from the foundations, starting with a radical revision of a plan, which at present has produced nothing but the ghost of a new emergency at the door".
