LThe “Tuttosposi” event, organized in Naples by the Italian Family Observatory, closed yesterday with approximately 140 visitors from all over Italy. The organizers were satisfied: “Once again we had confirmation that there is a great desire for family in Italy – says Martina Ferrara, president of OFI – because such significant numbers in 9 days demonstrate that the value of marriage is still deeply felt. Moreover, ISTAT also confirms that Campania is the second region in Italy for number of marriages (4,3 per 1000 residents), preceded only by Calabria (4,4)”. During the event, Cristiano Malgioglio and Sandra Milo received the special OFI Lifetime Achievement Award. “It is exciting to be here at Tuttosposi – said Cristiano Malgioglio -. This is a place where elegance reigns and I like this Hollywood style. And even if my love songs speak of great torments and loneliness, I hope that the love stories celebrated here can last a lifetime. In my opinion, you need to trust your partner because with trust a story can last forever, just like it happened to my parents who loved each other until their last breath. Today, stories don't last long, also because young people don't want to commit, but if you go beyond 7 years, which is a lot today, in my opinion it's done." Sandra Milo reiterated the centrality of love as the driving force of people's lives: "I believe - she declared - that especially for women, love comes first in life, while men put their careers at the center. Without love, we wouldn't exist, nor would our children, who are continuity. What I feel like saying to young women is that in this moment of transition they should be more generous, understanding, welcoming, not so competitive with men, they should not mortify them because they push them away. The male in the woman not only seeks love but also the mother because it is she who holds in her hands the destiny of the family and of her man, so the woman has a great responsibility and cannot waste time making foolish and senseless wars”.
