With them they had a machine gun, a pistol and everything they needed for robberies. They are Sabatino Cimmino, 48 years old, Roland Leshi, 37, Antonio Mangiapile, 33, Antonio di Matteo, 23, Antimo Pugliese, 19, Federico Fabbozzi, 34 – all from Giugliano -, Salvatore Mauriello, 23, from Villaricca and Gaetano Esposito, 21 from Villaricca.
The military surprised them aboard a van, a Fiat Panda and a Fiat Punto. In the vehicles they had hidden the proceeds of the robberies: a “Scorpion” machine gun with the serial number scratched off and loaded, a loaded semi-automatic stolen from theft, 37 9mm cartridges, cell phones and then sickles, wire cutters, pliers, gloves, neck warmers, caps and jackets.
All those arrested have been locked up in prison. Investigators are combing through all their movements over the last few days and are analyzing their telephone traffic, chats, and messages.
In short, we want to understand what the objective was. There is no doubt that they were preparing for a large-scale robbery, but fortunately the carabinieri intervened first and last night during a spectacular blitz also documented by the Facebook page of the Napoli Nord Web Tv news outlet, they stopped and arrested them.
