SSaturday evening of checks by the Carabinieri of the Torre Annunziata company.
Two women were arrested for possession of drugs for the purpose of dealing. 24-year-old Carmela de Nicola and 43-year-old Giuseppina Batti, both already known to the police, were "caught" in the home of the former in possession of 91 grams of marijuana divided into two bags; the two tried to throw everything out the window but ended up under house arrest awaiting the direct trial.
Three subjects reported for drunk driving. A 41-year-old from Trecase was caught downtown driving his car with a level of alcohol exceeding one gram per liter of blood; a 59-year-old from San Giuseppe Vesuviano and a 39-year-old from Ottaviano, however, were reported for refusing to submit to a breathalyzer test.
