QFour people died last night due to a landslide that occurred during emergency work on a sewer pipe damaged in the past by bad weather. Among the victims is Massimo Marrelli, 59, owner of the group of the same name that controls several health facilities in the Crotone area. The other three dead are Santo Bruno, 53, from Isola Capo Rizzuto, Luigi Ennio Colacino, 45, from Cutro, and Mario Cristofaro, 49, from Crotone.

Investigations are underway by the Carabinieri Company of Crotone, with the support of the personnel of the Labour Inspectorate of Crotone and the survey section of the Investigative Unit of the Provincial Carabinieri Command of Crotone. On site, according to what has been reconstructed so far, there were also four other workers, who remained unharmed, and who could do nothing but alert the emergency services.
