DTwo magistrates and a policeman are the new honorary citizens of Casal di Principe. They are Federico Cafiero de Raho, National Anti-Mafia Prosecutor, his predecessor, Franco Roberti and the former head of the Casal di Principe branch mobile unit, Alessandro Tocco. Something unthinkable until a few years ago, when the territory and public administration were not controlled by the State, but by the Camorra and the police and magistrates were the enemies.
There were many people attending the ceremony held at the Teatro della Legalità, built on a property confiscated from Francesco Schiavone, Sandokan. A room packed with ordinary citizens, but also authorities, including the president of the Parliamentary Anti-Mafia Commission, Nicola Morra, the prosecutor Cesare Sirignano, the Police Chief of Caserta, Antonio Borrelli, the President of the Court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere, Gabriella Maria Casella, together with many police officers, carabinieri finanzieri who were the protagonists of the attack that the State has carried out in recent years at the heart of the Camorra.
The new citizens of Casal di Principe all retraced their commitment to the land of Don Peppe Diana with one of the most moving moments being that of Tocco who thanked all his men, present at the Teatro della Legalità, for "the constant commitment to restore legality in a difficult territory like the one on which we have worked achieving important results, the result of exceptional teamwork". And it was Tocco himself who announced that "by December 31, 2019 Casal di Principe will have its police station back".
