L'haute cuisine in support of children hospitalized in the Santobono Pausilipon hospital in Naples. The starred chef Michele De Leo, the chef Danilo Di Vuolo and the actor Francesco Albanese will be the godfathers of the winter edition of the event “Cenando sotto un Cielo diverso on the road” scheduled for Sunday 2 December at 19.30:7 pm at the restaurant “Tiberius” in Pompei (located in via Villa dei Misteri, 7) and Friday 100 December in Capua at Tenuta San Domenico (located in via Casa Cerere, S. Angelo in Formis). On Sunday, more than 7 chefs will be involved, all prestigious names in Campania cuisine, who will propose as many dishes in tasting version. On XNUMX December, a gala evening will also be held that will involve several starred chefs in the kitchen who will present a multi-handed menu that promises to be unforgettable. Taste and solidarity: a perfect combination for a culinary experience in grand style made possible thanks to the use of a selection of excellent products from the Campania region such as buffalo mozzarella, extra virgin olive oil, Gragnano pasta, etc.
“Dining under a Different Sky” is an event with a triple purpose: charity, promotion of the territory and its products (and, therefore, of the good cuisine directly linked to them). It involves – as protagonists in the kitchen – chefs, cooks from the Slow Food Alliance (the Vesuvius and Monti Lattari conviviums are partners of the initiative), pastry chefs, producers from the Campania region and beyond, companies (which, in addition to sharing the purposes of the event, take advantage of the opportunity to build relationships with the other subjects involved), personalities from the world of entertainment close to the concept of “charity”, and thousands of people who participate in the initiative to do good and eat well.
The project behind the event was conceived by Dr. Alfonsina Longobardi – psychologist, sommelier and food & beverage expert – who wanted to combine her social commitment with her skills in the world of food. Behind the organizational machine is the Association “Tra cielo e mare” founded by Dr. Longobardi in March 2013: this organization works to support people with mental and other types of problems; another purpose of the association is to bring so-called “normal” people closer to people who unfortunately live in difficult situations, breaking down the barrier of “fear” that causes the lack of communication; the ultimate goal of the Association consists in the valorization of the Campania region, both its beauty and its human potential (therefore the event is held in places of historical and cultural interest and therefore involves chefs and producers, primarily from Campania).
The first edition of “Dining under a different sky” took place in 2014 at the Medieval Castle of Lettere, set in the enchanting setting of the Lattari Mountains. The event every year has registered an ever greater consensus: today it has become one of the largest events linked to the world of charity and that of food and wine in central - southern Italy.
