This is the aspect that needs to be improved.” This is how the president of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca, responded to reporters regarding the data according to which Campania has the highest waste taxes in Italy. With respect to the costs of the waste tax in Salerno, De Luca explained: “At least in Salerno, 70 percent of waste is collected separately. Door-to-door collection is expensive and resources need to be invested.”
