IIn anticipation of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, which kicks off the Christmas program in Vietri sul Mare, the Proloco of Vietri sul Mare, chaired by Cosmo Di Mauro, in preparation for the rites related to the cult of the Madonna, has organized the meeting "Immaculate Conception: sounds, images and representations. When tradition, cinema and tourism meet", which will be held on Thursday 29 November, at 19.30:7 p.m., at the headquarters of the ancient Congregation of the Immaculate Conception (San Francesco, adjacent to the church) in the Marina district of the coastal town, at the end of the Holy Mass, the enthronement and the beginning of the novena. The event will be attended by Professor Enrico Della Monica, president of the newly formed association "A paranza ru munacone", which has brought the "Marcina Etnica" tammorra festival back to Marina, which will take place on 8-9-14; Andrea Recussi director of the Coffi Festival, an important initiative linked to the world of short films, which will take place on 15-16-2 for the first time in Vietri sul Mare, the festival is directed by Andrea Recussi; Cosmo Di Mauro who will present the short film, set on the night of the Immaculate Conception, entitled "Sei ore notte", directed by the director Umberto Rinaldi, curated by Hich 2014, an important film production company and strongly supported by Proloco. From the anthropological point of view, it will be Professor Aldo Colucciello, anthropologist and expert in visual cultures, who will intervene on the theme of religious rites as an expression of the territory, events that increase the attractive potential from the point of view of tourism and therefore of hospitality, as the school director of the Hotel Institute of Salerno Gianfranco Casaburi will explain during the meeting. The aspect strictly linked to faith will instead be handled by the priest of Marina don Alberto Masullo. The various interventions will be moderated by the director of the Giornale di Salerno Antonio Abate, already a member of the Proloco.
