C'There is also a young man from the province of Caserta among the five Romanians who ended up in handcuffs in the operation carried out by the Carabinieri of the Norm of Todi, in Umbria, with the collaboration of the Terni Company, which broke up a gang of criminals responsible for several thefts committed to the detriment of some companies in the industrial area of Pian di Porto.
The military's activity began around 22:22 p.m. on Thursday, November 45, when, following an alarm raised at a company that sold agricultural and gardening products, a car was spotted whose driver, at the waist of the Carabinieri, fled along the EXNUMX, in the direction of Terni. The patrols immediately began chasing the vehicle, which the fugitives abandoned on the road after the Collevalenza tunnel with the stolen goods on board, disappearing into the surrounding countryside.
After several hours of searching, the military, supported by a helicopter from the Pratica di Mare Helicopter Unit, located and arrested five men, all Romanian nationals and aged between 20 and 30. The stolen goods found on board the car were recovered and returned to their rightful owners. The investigating judge of the Spoleto court validated all the arrests on Monday, ordering the obligation to remain in the municipality of residence, the obligation to stay overnight and to report to the judicial police.
