IThe second date of the mini punk – ska – rock review “When I was young… on friday night!” is with Statuto on Friday 30 November at the First Floor Club in Pomigliano d'Arco. They arrive in Campania with the Football tour 2018/2019 to the sound of Mod sound, power pop, ska, R&B, Soul, Northern Soul; among old classics, hits and songs inspired by the colorful world of Italian football. Statutoo – SKAr (vocals), Naska (drums), Enrico Bontempi (guitar), Rudy Ruzza (bass) – have always been true fans, supporters and players of football and propose in their “club tour”, with a time limit on the “sports” calendar (so from October '18 to May '19) a concert/show with sounds and visions entirely dedicated to the world of football. In addition to their many football-themed songs already in their repertoire (songs written in collaboration with Enrico Ruggeri, Paolo Belli and other artists), Statuto will perform overwhelming versions of great “themed” classics of Italian songs such as: “Un'estate italiana” by Bennato/Nannini, “La leva calcistica del '68” by De Gregori, “Una vita da mediano” by Ligabue and the most well-known theme songs of football programs such as “Tutto il calcio minuto per minuto”, “Domenica Sprint”, “La Domenica Sportiva” and “90° minuto”. Committed as “athletes” and testimonials in the solidarity initiatives of the Italian National Singers, the historic Turin group reaffirms its credibility, excellent musical quality, ability to involve and entertain as well as its historic originality with the “Statuto Football Tour”. They represent a unique reality in the panorama of Italian music: with their consistent but never evolved mod style, with their immediacy and boldness in their committed lyrics, often ironic or sarcastic, aggressive and humble, with a music that has become "fashionable" that began with ska and merged with soul and powerpop, becoming totally original and unclassifiable; without ever having assumed the role of "stars".
Without ever having moved away ideally (and geographically) from Piazza Statuto, the place of departure and of cultural, ideological and musical creation, the group has arrived on every type of stage: from the Ariston Theatre of the Sanremo Festival to the concert for the Lancia/Fiat workers fired from Chivasso, from the Festivalbar to the Leonkavallo, from the Cantagiro to the concert in Plaza De La Revoluciòn in Habana de Cuba (invited by the local authorities), always with the utmost simplicity and naturalness that has distinguished them since their beginnings.
Concert starts at 23.00pm
Entrance fee twelve euros
