“We are requesting an urgent meeting on the Industria Italiana Autobus dispute,” the national secretariats of Cgil, Cisl and Uil wrote in a note. “In addition to the uncertainties regarding the company composition that are still being defined, and the increasingly precarious employment situation in production, the company now risks losing existing orders, given that the Campania Region has already decided to terminate the contracts for alleged failure to deliver.” Those at risk are those employed in the Flumeri plants, in the province of Avellino, and in Bologna. “In the absence of a meeting in a timely manner, we will implement initiatives to safeguard the workers of the two plants,” the national secretariats of Cgil, Cisl and Uil concluded.
