SSeven years in prison in total have been requested by the Public Prosecutor of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Santa Maria Capua Vetere against two defendants accused of setting fire to the Chalet Pinetarium in Pignataro Maggiore, devastated by arson in August 2013. This morning, before Judge Graziano of Santa Maria Capua Vetere, the closing argument was held against Salvatore Lettieri, a 24-year-old from Caserta, and Alit Tekar, a 22-year-old of Romanian origin but resident in Camigliano, both accused of arson. The two risk a sentence of 3 years and 6 months in prison each. According to the reconstruction of the Public Prosecutor's Office, the raid began after the defendants had argued with the owner of the chalet, and were also removed from the premises. That same evening, the fire broke out and destroyed the structure.
