UA 35-year-old from Lacco Ameno known to the police, Ciro Scotto Di Vettimo, was surprised by the Carabinieri of the Ischia Company in the wooded area near Via Pannella engaged in an illegal hunting trip. The soldiers found him in possession of an over-and-under shotgun with a scratched serial number and a homemade barrel reducer, with 5 cartridges. They then proceeded to search the house finding 466 cartridges of various calibers and 4,5 kilos of lead shot. The man, moreover, no longer had a gun license as it was revoked following a conviction; to get it back he produced the necessary documentation omitting the conviction but was discovered and reported for the false attestations. Arrested for illegal possession of a firearm and receiving stolen goods, the 35-year-old is awaiting a direct trial.
