Nicola Inquieto remains in Italy for another six months. The Court of Cassation in Bucharest has rejected the appeal filed by the businessman from Casapesenna, accused of camorra and in particular of being close to the boss Michele Zagaria, granting an extension of another 6 months of the temporary handover to the Italian authorities requested by the anti-mafia judiciary. According to what can be learned from the brief ruling of the Romanian Supreme Court, the appeal, filed against the decision of the Court of Appeal of Pitesti, was rejected as unfounded. A breath of fresh air for the DDA which has every interest in completing the judicial process, at least in the first instance, before handing Inquieto over to Romanian justice. The businessman, by virtue of a European arrest warrant issued against him following an investigation by the DIA into the alleged reinvestment of capital by the boss Zagaria in Romania, was handed over to the Italian authorities on a temporary basis with the deadline set for next December. For this reason, the DDA had requested an extension of a further six months, which was granted and on which the appeal was pending, which was rejected today.
